Job Responsibilities for the Scientist Role
As a Scientist in VSI’s Department of Alcohol Technology & Biofuels, you will be responsible for driving research and development efforts, focusing on sustainability and process improvement in biofuel and biochemical industries. The core responsibilities include:
- Conducting sustainability assessments of industrial complexes or manufacturing processes, especially using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools.
- Performing detailed process modeling and simulation for chemical and biochemical processes.
- Carrying out techno-economic analysis to evaluate the feasibility and economic viability of biofuel production technologies.
- Contributing to cutting-edge research, particularly in biofuels and sustainable energy, with a preference for candidates from IISc, IIT, NIT, CSIR-labs, and similar prestigious institutions.

Qualification Requirements
