🔍 Job Description
The National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, a premier CSIR institute, is hiring for the position of Project Associate-I under a sponsored research project titled:
“Optimization of Small Molecule Hemoglobin Modulators as a Treatment Strategy for Sickle Cell Anemia.”
📌 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct multi-step organic synthesis (small to large scale).
- Work on drug discovery and optimization for sickle cell anemia treatment.
- Collaborate with research teams to develop novel therapeutic strategies.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
✅ Educational Qualifications:
- M.Sc in Organic Chemistry/General Chemistry or related fields.
- M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Sciences) or equivalent.
- B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines (Engineering/Technology).
- Candidates with CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/ICMR/DBT/DST qualifications will receive higher pay.
🌟 Desirable Experience:
- Research experience in organic synthesis/total synthesis.
- Prior work in reputed research institutes or pharmaceutical industries.
📅 Age Limit:
- Max 35 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women as per Govt. norms).
💰 Salary & Benefits
- ₹31,000 + HRA (for NET/GATE/qualified candidates).
- ₹25,000 + HRA (for others).
- Temporary position (initially 6 months, extendable based on performance).
