๐ Job Description
The National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, a premier CSIR institute, is hiring for the position of Project Associate-I under a sponsored research project titled:
“Optimization of Small Molecule Hemoglobin Modulators as a Treatment Strategy for Sickle Cell Anemia.”
๐ Key Responsibilities:
- Conductย multi-step organic synthesisย (small to large scale).
- Work onย drug discovery and optimizationย for sickle cell anemia treatment.
- Collaborate with research teams to develop novel therapeutic strategies.
๐ Eligibility Criteria
โ Educational Qualifications:
- M.Scย inย Organic Chemistry/General Chemistryย or related fields.
- M.Pharmย (Pharmaceutical Sciences) or equivalent.
- B.E./B.Techย in relevant disciplines (Engineering/Technology).
- Candidates withย CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/ICMR/DBT/DSTย qualifications will receive higher pay.
๐ Desirable Experience:
- Research experience inย organic synthesis/total synthesis.
- Prior work in reputedย research institutes or pharmaceutical industries.
๐ Age Limit:
- Max 35 yearsย (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Women as per Govt. norms).
๐ฐ Salary & Benefits
- โน31,000 + HRAย (for NET/GATE/qualified candidates).
- โน25,000 + HRAย (for others).
- Temporary positionย (initiallyย 6 months, extendable based on performance).
