Job Description
The Department of Biological Sciences at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus, is hiring a Research Assistant for a Goa Forest Department-funded project titled:
“Survey, Inventory, and Documentation of Freshwater Biodiversity in Goan Streams and Rivers.”
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys and sampling of freshwater fauna in Goa’s rivers and streams.
- Assist in data collection, documentation, and analysis of biodiversity.
- Work closely with the Principal Investigator (Prof. Sumit Biswas) in research activities.
- Contribute to scientific reports and publications.
Eligibility Criteria:
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Allied Disciplines (Zoology, Ecology, Environmental Science, etc.).
- Prior experience in field sampling, biodiversity surveys, or ecological studies is preferred.
- Strong interest in conservation biology and freshwater ecosystems.
Benefits:
- Stipend: ₹20,000 per month.
