Indian Pharmacopoeia Commision M.Pharm Recruitment For Pharmacovigilance

The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is a premier organization in India responsible for the development and publication of the Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP), which is used for quality control of drugs and medicines. The IPC works to ensure the safety and quality of medical products and devices through standards development, testing, and surveillance. It operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is based in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.

Responsibilities in Job

As a Sr. Materiovigilance Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Adverse Events: Collect, collate, and analyze adverse events related to medical devices in South India.
  • Risk Management: Plan and implement risk identification and minimization strategies for medical device adverse events.
  • Quality Management Systems: Oversee the implementation of quality management systems for the Materiovigilance Program of India (MvPI) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Liaisoning: Work with government and private organizations to promote and ensure participation in the PvPI.
  • Other Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by the competent authority, as needed.

Qualification

To apply for the Sr. Materiovigilance Associate position at IPC, candidates must possess:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Graduation in Biomedical Engineering or Clinical Engineering, OR
    • Master’s degree in Pharmacy (MPharm).
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in post-market surveillance, medical devices, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, or quality management systems.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Strong knowledge of the medical devices industry, particularly in relation to safety surveillance and regulatory compliance.

Skills Required

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to manage and analyze large datasets related to adverse events.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the Post Market Surveillance (PvPI) and Medical Device Regulations is a plus.
