Panchkula, Haryana – In a heartwarming Diwali gesture, MK Bhatia, the director of Mits Healthcare, awarded 15 top-performing employees with brand-new cars, supporting the company’s commitment to employee appreciation. Known for his innovative recognition strategies, Bhatia celebrated his team’s efforts by promoting these employees to directors and gifting them vehicles to mark their achievements.
“We don’t call them ‘workers,’ we call them our stars, our rockstars. They are our family,” Bhatia said in a statement, highlighting the company’s unique, people-first work culture. The generous gift follows last year’s initiative when Mits Healthcare presented 12 cars to standout performers.
A Tradition of Employee Recognition and Growth
Mits Healthcare is reputed for promoting fresh talent. It follows a structured career progression model that helps employees rise through the ranks. Bhatia clarified that the company actively hires freshers, provides extensive training, and promotes top performers to senior positions.
“This year, all 15 employees who received cars were promoted to directors four months ago,” Bhatia said. The advancement model allows employees to rise from entry-level positions to vice-presidents, and finally to presidents or directors based on consistent performance.
Bhatia’s vision for next year is even more ambitious:
“We want to gift 50 cars next year,” he said, aiming to further inspire and maintain top talent.
How a Car Changed Lives
The idea of gifting cars stems from Bhatia’s personal experience. Reflecting on his confidence growing after purchasing his first car, he explained, “I thought people would take me more seriously if I showed up in my vehicle.” The logic, he added, applies equally to his employees, several of whom have embraced the newfound freedom their cars provide. Many recipients are learning to drive to make the most of the opportunity.
Growing Trend of Diwali Bonuses with Vehicles
Gifting cars as a Diwali rewards is becoming a trend across India. Earlier this month, a Chennai-based company made headlines by gifting 28 cars and 29 bikes to employees as part of their Diwali celebrations. The vehicles included models from renowned brands like Hyundai, Tata, and Maruti Suzuki, and even luxury offerings from Mercedes-Benz, setting a high benchmark for employee appreciation.
