Primary Responsibilities
As a Junior Medical Coder at Optum, you will be responsible for:
- Training and Assessments: Actively participating in classroom training and clearing assessments with a minimum of 85% quality.
- Mock Charts: Consistently meeting targets set for MOCK charts during the training period.
- Confirmation: Eligible employees will be confirmed as Junior Coders within a maximum of 6 months from the date of joining.
- Compliance: Adhering to company policies, punctuality, attendance, and external/internal quality standards such as HIPAA, ISO, and ISMS.
- Teamwork: Being an effective team player and contributing to a collaborative work environment.
- Flexibility: Complying with the terms of the employment contract, including potential transfers, shift changes, and other business-related directives.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a degree in one of the following fields:
- Life Science or Bio-Science
- Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Nursing or Allied Health
- Medicine
