Job Description – Medical Coder (Nursing Background Preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Review and translate medical records into ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
✔ Ensure accurate and compliant coding for insurance claims
✔ Work with doctors, nurses, and billing teams to resolve coding issues
✔ Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
✔ Assist in auditing medical records for coding accuracy
Skills & Qualifications:
✅ Nursing Degree (B.Sc Nursing, GNM, ANM, or related qualification)
✅ Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
✅ Attention to detail and ability to work with electronic health records (EHR)
✅ Certification (Preferred but not mandatory): CPC, CCS, or related coding certification
