Job Description
The Department of Biosciences and Biomedical Engineering at IIT Indore is seeking a highly motivated Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for an ICMR-funded research project. The selected candidate will work on developing a Lateral Flow Assay (LFA)-based diagnostic tool for simultaneous detection of Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) and Hepatitis A Virus (HAV).
Key Responsibilities:
- Molecular cloning, protein expression, and purification
- Antigen-Antibody interaction studies
- ELISA and LFA development
- Protein characterization and crystallization
- Data analysis and documentation
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Life Sciences (with valid GATE)
- M.Tech in relevant disciplines
- B.V.Sc. (with valid ICAR AIEEA-PG)
- B.Pharma (with valid GPAT)
- MBBS (with valid NEET-PG)
Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in cloning, protein expression, and purification
- Knowledge of ELISA, LFA development, and protein characterization
- Candidates with CSIR/UGC/DBT-JRF fellowships will be preferred
Salary & Duration
- Monthly Stipend: ₹28,000 + 16% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided)
- Duration: 6 months (extendable based on performance)
