Job Purpose
The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) – Oncology will provide high-level scientific expertise, engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and support medical strategies in the southern region of India. The role involves scientific communication, medical education, and ensuring compliance with GSK’s ethical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Health Care Practitioners (HCPs) and Key External Experts (KEEs).
- Plan and conduct CMEs, symposia, workshops, and scientific meetings with consistent on-label messaging.
- Support Scientific Engagement (SE) activities and ensure adherence to Promotional Code guidelines.
- Stay updated on oncology advancements, GSK’s product portfolio, and Pharmacovigilance requirements.
- Assist in feasibility assessments, concept notes, and field studies for oncology research.
- Provide medical inputs into brand strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Background:
- Mandatory: MBBS with a post-graduate qualification.
- Preferred: Post-graduate degree in Pharmacology / Public Health (to effectively engage with specialized HCPs).
Experience Required:
- 1-2 years in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in oncology.
- Strong scientific presentation skills and experience in medical communications.
- Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and clinical research practices.
- Excellent English and local language communication (written & verbal).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong scientific writing & presentation abilities.
- Ability to network with KOLs and provide constructive feedback.
- Team collaboration and strategic thinking in oncology therapy.
