- Certification Mandatory: CPC/CCS/CRC
Key Responsibilities
As an HCC Coder at VLMS Global Healthcare, your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and analyzing medical records to assign accurate diagnostic and procedural codes.
- Assigning HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) codes to ensure proper risk adjustment.
- Maintaining compliance with coding regulations (ICD-10, CMS, and HCC guidelines).
- Auditing medical records for coding accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers to resolve coding-related queries.
- Ensuring timely submission of coded data for billing and reporting.
Eligibility Criteria
- Certification: Must hold CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCS (Certified Coding Specialist), or CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder).
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in HCC coding (Freshers with strong coding knowledge may also apply).
- Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, HCC, and risk adjustment coding.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in coding software and EHR systems.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
