SynSmart is hiring for more than 10 Research Associate positions in Custom Synthesis.
Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Planning, setting up, monitoring, and independently working up chemical reactions.
- Isolating products and optimizing reaction conditions to improve yields and output.
- Purifying compounds using column chromatography, vacuum distillation, crystallization, and other methods.
- Characterizing and identifying compounds using mass spectrometry (MS) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (¹H NMR).
- Writing technical reports, analyzing data, and maintaining laboratory notebooks.
- Conducting literature searches using SciFinder and other search engines.
- Performing regular laboratory duties, including equipment maintenance, chemical inventory management, and lab cleanup.
- Setting up multiple reactions independently each day.
- Staying current with scientific literature in the relevant research area.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Candidates applying for the Research Associate – Custom Synthesis position must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry.
- Experience: 1–4 years.
- Preferred Background: CRO experience.
